Sudan Passport Photos and Visa Photo Requirements – Rules, Guidelines, and Specifications

While the Sudan passport photo requirements above are helpful, you must also know how to take your own passport photo or visa photo. It is not a complicated process. As long as you follow the rules and guidelines below, you should end up with a set of adequate pictures.

  • The background of your passport photo or visa photo must be plain white. It cannot have colors, patterns, or shadows on it. The best possible option is for you to take your picture against a white wall. If you do not have white walls in your house, take a white sheet that is not see-through, and hang it on a wall. You should get the same result.
  • In the picture, the light should come from in front of you. Just like the flash of a camera. That eliminates the possibility of having shadows on your face. Make sure that the intensity is just right as well.
  • Your head must appear straight, and your face forward. Keep in mind that both sides of your face must be equally visible, which is why you cannot rotate your head in any direction. If you submit a portrait-style photo, it will not be accepted.
  • The only permitted facial expression in a passport photo or visa photo is neutral. Do not smile, frown, or raise your brows.
  • It is recommended that you take off your prescription glasses when you take your passport photo or visa photo. However, if the frames are clear and there is no glare in the picture, you can keep them on. As you can imagine, sunglasses and tinted lenses are not permitted in your photo.
  • It is mandatory for Sudanese women to cover their heads with a hijab. However, make sure that your headwear does not cast shadows on your face. Also, your face must be seeable from the bottom of your chin to the top of your forehead.
  • If you have a beard, you are not required to shave it off if that is how you usually look. The whole point of your passport photo or visa photo is to depict your everyday appearance.

Rules and Requirements for Babies, Infants, and Newborn Passport and Visa Photos

Are you planning on taking your children on your trip? If yes, then you should know that you must get passports and visas for them too. iVisa Photos can help with the photos. Below, you will find some tips on how to take your children’s photos.

  • You must photograph your children when they are awake because their eyes must be visible too.
  • If you have a baby and you want to hold him/her during the photo session, remember that you have to conceal every part of you. Even your hands. The baby must appear alone in the photo.
  • If you find it more convenient, you can put the baby on his/her back and take the picture from above. But if you do that, you must place a white sheet underneath to achieve a white background.
  • For comfort reasons, some people put their child in a car seat to take the passport photo or visa photo. If you want to do that too, you have to cover the backrest of the chair to ensure a white background.
  • You must remove your child’s pacifier and headwear when taking the photo.
